Fifty Three Restorations restores, reconstructs and rehabilitates historic architectural objects. The subject of our work can be an entire building or a single element such as a doorway, a staircase or a window. We enjoy the simple beauty of a clapboard facade and the intellectual challenge of an elliptical staircase. We are interested in work situations where we are permitted to work to the best of our abilities.

Historic interiors are reconstructed; moldings are matched; handrails carved; facades & cornices are restored; hardware is cleaned & repaired; and wood windows are carefully disassembled and returned to their original condition.

Fifty Three Restorations installs both new & historic architectural woodwork. We offer the traditional range of services associated with our trade. These include framing, panel & case work, stair building, carving, finishing and custom millwork fabrication & installation. However, it takes a range of skills to restore a building.
