Entrance Canopy

Restoration of a 1927 Entrance Canopy on Sutton Place in Manhattan

The Canopy was designed by Rosario Candela for the architectural firm Cross & Cross.

The Canopy was failing structurally. FTR removed the damaged sections and inserted steel support rods.

New moldings were made that matched the original, which were too badly damaged to save.

Decades of old paint were removed. Missing and damaged carvings were replaced.

The barrel roof was re-sheathed & a new copper roof and flashings were installed.
