Period Reconstructions
Our period reconstruction services provide museums, corporations, and private residences with authentically detailed historic rooms and structures. We work closely with curators, architects, and designers to reconstruct spaces that accurately represent specific historic periods. We have participated in the reconstruction & installation of structures that are examples of every period of American architectural history.
Our experience at Historic properties includes work at the Merchant's House Museum, The Mount Vernon Hotel Museum, The Olmstead House on Staten Island, Old Westbury Gardens, Historic Lazaretto, The Sandy Hook Coast Guard Station, Sailors Snug Harbor, The Staten Island Historical Society, The Weeksville Historical Society and many more.
Each installation draws on our deep knowledge of historic building techniques, materials, and finishes. We can fabricate the required architectural elements—Boat landings, barns, gazebos, paneling, moldings, built-in cabinetry and decorative details—ensuring historical accuracy while accommodating contemporary use of the facility. Our craftspeople take pride in creating immersive historical environments that educate and inspire.
